Author of Fernando Botero. The search for style: 1948-1963. (2020) and Fernando Botero. La búsqueda del estilo: 1949 – 1963 (2012). Curator of the exhibitions: Políticas de la imagen: videoarte colombiano contemporáneo (Festival Oodaqq. Rennes, Francia. 2012), Ciudadano de a pie (Panorama Colombia, Berlín. 2013), El joven maestro. Fernando Botero, obra temprana: 1948 - 1963 (Museo Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá. 2018) and Un arte propio: convergencias entre México y Colombia. Padilla was just awarded with the Colombian Art History Prize for the second time for the book The Cultural Cold War in Colombia, to be published in 2026. Professor at the University of Rosario, co-founder and coordinator of the independent Latin American art publisher BAU Editorial.
